Allowances gives a gross salary package within the range $120,000 - $130,000.


The Board is searching for a superb new principal who can build on the school’s outstanding reputation - evidenced by our history of superb ERO reports - for teaching people(aged 5 to 21) with special educational needs.

Our new principal must be dedicated to our learners and their whanau and be able to lead a very complex school, comprising a base school with five classes, 12 satellite classes and a specialist outreach service delivering specialist teaching programmes across more than 26 Franklin schools (mainstream) which Parkside initiated and is now NZ wide. All of these provide an individualised approach to learning for our students.

The teaching and paraprofessional team is supported by a significant team of specialists.

Superb leadership skills required to lead 35 teachers, 8 specialists, 34 teacher aides and administration and property staff.

It would be advantageous to be knowledgeable or experienced in the education of learners with special educational needs and be willing to support and strengthen our core values.
