Windy Ridge school is looking for a future-focused leader for our school in 2020, as our principal has won a position as a Maori Engagement adviser.

Our school has been on a 10-year journey to discover what children need to become happy, kind and contributing members of society. We are committed to designing education around the learner.

Applicants must be interested in and supportive of teaching and learning in an ILE environment and learning through play at all levels; be committed to genuine student voice; passionate about biculturalism and Te Ao Maori; and be focused on evidence-based practice.

A two-storey multi-class block will be built in late 2020, enhancing our innovative-learning environment, with the design of this building still to be agreed on.

The new principal will enjoy working with a very supportive board, a dedicated staff, delightful young people and a community that values education.

 

Key dates for the appointment:

  • Applications close at 5.00 pm on 2 March 2020. 

  • Applicants will hear soon after 18 March 2020 if they go to interview on Sunday, 4 April 2020.

  • Starting day for the position will benegotiated for some time in term 2, 2020.
